Judy Pugh has one of the more heartwarming stories to emerge out of the devastating tornadoes which tore through Tuscaloosa, Alabama last month when her missing cat showed up while she was being interviewed for a story about having her home destroyed by the tornadoes.

I am an animal lover.  I really am.  Dogs, mostly.  And horses, cows, chickens, pigs, deer, possum, rabbits, nutria, bear, antelope, even the bridled nail-tail wallaby. Cats?  Not so much.  That's why I love this dog.

An amazing story of a puppy with the will to live...

The picture of the puppy stopped me dead in my tracks:  this puppy looks exactly like my dog Violet!  And when I read the story, it made my heart hurt thinking of all of the puppies and dogs that are put down each year because of over-population, negligence and ignorance (the owners, not the dogs, of course).

Devaney and her family found these 2 Australian Shepards last night (Jan 31st 2011) on Roselawn Blvd.  in Lafayette.   The Vet said they have been fixed, but no chips.
