What Bugs Me: Balloon Releases

This edition of What Bugs Me is about balloon releases.

You've probably been to an event in which, for the "remembrance" portion of the event, balloons are released into the sky.  It's a moving experience, especially when you have the image of a lost loved one on your mind, receiving that balloon in Heaven and reading your note.

What some people might not consider is where those balloons end up.  I'll give you a hint: it's not Heaven.

As beautiful and as moving as those ceremonies are, the reality is this: it's littering.  Please consider an alternative to balloon releases, and do your part to keep our country beautiful for future generations to enjoy.
