(KTDY) - If you traveled I-10 entering Louisiana in recent days, you may have seen a sign attached to the welcome sign at the Louisiana/Mississippi state border line, and now we know who "Freddy" is

We were returning home a few days ago, and, like some of you, I saw the sign welcoming Freddy. I assumed it was someone who may have been deployed or just away for a while, but I was wrong.

After spending a few minutes on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, I saw the same sign on social media that I just saw, and it was posted by someone named "Freddy."

It turns out Freddy was driving through Louisiana on his way to Houston for the World Cup and made several stops along the way. Freddy is from Germany and is a huge soccer fan who blogs his journey and travels while attending matches.

He is known for being very descriptive and is always "Wowed" by his new findings. As you will see here, Freddy was greeted in Louisiana by the Saints, Pelicans, and LSU Tigers. He even discovered Raising Cane's, and yes, it was very eye-opening for this huge soccer fan/blogger.

After this welcome that turned many heads along I-10 West, Freddy and his crew made a stop in New Orleans, and they were allowed to visit the Saints and Pelicans facilities, and even enjoy some Louisiana dishes.

From there, the soccer enthusiast got to see what a Louisiana swamp looks like, and even found an alligator lurking while taking in the moment.

After a swamp visit, Freddy experienced what it was like to walk down Bourbon Street in New Orleans, and to no one's surprise, he was blown away by the sights and sounds.

After that life-changing meal, Freddy left Louisiana and reached his destination, Houston, Texas, one of the World Cup host cities. Now we wait and see if Freddy returns to "Sportsman Paradise" in the days ahead. After all, he got to experience some true southern hospitality, and we think he'll be back for more.
