Vote For Local Musicians For ‘Best Of The Beat’ Awards

Roddie Romero and the Hub City All-Stars, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Givers, and Bonsoir, Catin are just a few of the Acadiana musicians vying for the  'Best of the Beat 2011' awards.

OffBeat Magazine, a monthly print magazine focusing on the music, cuisine and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana, allows readers to vote on their favorite musicians via their website, offbeat.com.

Awards will be presented at the 'Best of the Beat' Awards Party on January 27th at Generations Hall in New Orleans.

It only takes a few minutes to vote, and the bands listed above aren't the only names you'll recognize.  Reading the full list of nominees will make you swell with 'hometown pride' like I did!
