UL Fans Gear Up for Football Season

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites Ragin’ Cajuns® fans to "Gear Up" for the fall with a daily contest. Beginning Aug. 6, the Geared Up Giveaway, sponsored by the university’s Wear Red program, offers chances to win prizes, such as T-shirts, hats, mugs, autographed footballs and even pre-game field passes. Register on the university’s official Facebook page . Click the Geared Up Giveaway button and follow the instructions. If you don't do facebook, you can still enter by paper form at the University Bookstore on McKinley Street on campus. You can also complete an entry form at the new Ragin’ Cajuns® Red Zone team shop when it opens on the corner of Johnston Street and E. Lewis Street later this month. Prizes will be drawn daily Aug.6 through Sept. 21.

The university’s Wear Red program encourages students, faculty, staff, alumni and fans to support the university by wearing red every Friday. It also sponsors special events and programs each year to help fans celebrate being a part of the university and its unique culture and history.
