Travel + Leisure Readers Rank New Orleans In Top 20 Cities For Burgers

Providence, R.I. has been voted as the city for the best burgers in America according to Travel + Leisure readers.  WHAT!  Here in Lafayette we have better burgers at gas stations than there are anywhere in the entire state of Rhode Island.  Do I sound bitter?  Well don't you agree?

Some other cities in the top 20 have their own claim on hamburger history. The Los Angeles area launched the first McDonald’s and the In-N-Out Burger, both in the 1940s. Minneapolis-St. Paul, meanwhile, is famous for the Juicy Lucy, a burger with the cheese cooked inside the patty.

New Orleans did make the Top 20.
