Musical group Train and Carly Rae Jepsen have both backed out of a scheduled performance for the Boy Scouts of America's Jamboree, citing the organization's stance on gays.

In response to an on-line petition started by an openly gay Eagle Scout, which gathered 62,000 signatures, Train and Jepsen to cancelled their performances, citing their belief in equality for all.

Train released a statement saying that would be happy to play for the Scouts

"as long as they make the right decision before then."

As of this posting, the Boy Scouts of America haven't issued a statement about the situation.
