A Town Hall Meeting addressing the proposed Robley Extension project is happening Thursday, June 6th. According to District 8 Councilwoman Liz Hebert – the host of the event – there will be booths set up so residents can look at the proposed plans and give on them.

The Robley Drive extension project was proposed to give the residents of the neighborhood an alternate route to enter and exit the neighborhood instead of using Johnston Street, a high-speed arterial roadway,” says Hebert on her Facebook page. “This secondary connection will provide a safer and more convenient option instead of entering a high speed divided highway that is heavy congestion during peak times.”

Also, LADOTD is currently planning a J-turn project on Johnston Street in this area to reduce the number of crashes and increase capacity.

LCG and DOTD staff will be in attendance to answer any questions.

The meeting will last from 5:30-7:30 PM and will be held at the South Regional Library on 6101 Johnston Street.
