Pretty sure this is why chivalry is dying... and fast.

Let me start by saying that I haven't dated in quite sometime. It's been almost 10 years since I was in the game. Back then it was called "hanging out." Real dates were hard to come by, but hanging out with someone was enough for you to determine if you wanted to actually do something like dinner or a movie.

That being said, I'm a little embarrassed at how women are treating the dating game these days.

A recent survey has revealed that one in three women will accept a date just to get a free meal. This means that a woman will agree to go on a date with a man she is uninterested in with the hopes that he will pick up the tab. And there's a name for it... a "foodie call."

Call it retaliation for the "booty call." Call it "financial survival." I call it rude. What happened to dating with a purpose? What happened to wanting to get to know someone because you actually see a future with them? And by "see a future" I mean a future that doesn't involve them picking up the tab.

This is why it's so hard to date, isn't it?

Researchers went on to say that these women also tend to have traits like narcissism, psychopathy and Machiavellianism. That big, fancy word basically means this person will most likely serve their own interests through manipulation, deceit, and exploitation. Those don't sound like traits that make a good partner.
