One Of The Reasons I Own A Gun

Let me start by saying that I am in favor of gun ownership.  If you outlaw guns, then only outlaws will own guns, which isn't something I like to hear.  I believe in the right to defend myself, and hope that I never have to do it.  With that being said . . . .

I don't know why the man with the pipe in this video was mad, but it seems that road rage got the best of him and he pulls out a pipe to confront the other driver.  There is no violence in this video; the potential victim was able to diffuse the situation with no one getting hurt.

What would have happened had this driver not diffused the situation with a firearm?  Would the man with the pipe beat his way into the car, and then continue to beat the driver?  I don't ever want to shoot another human being, but I am prepared to protect myself and my family.
