Not So Fast! Those Redflex Cameras Are Still Operating

The city of Lafayette's contract with Redflex expired on Sunday, June 4th. The cameras  however, are still operating. If they snap you speeding, or failing to come to a complete stop, will you get a "ticket" in the mail? Maybe, maybe not. The Advocate reports, there is the possibility of a temporary agreement between the embattled service provider, and the city. Meanwhile, negotiations are underway to find a replacement. All indications are, this will take several months. Police presence is reportedly being stepped up. They write "real" tickets. If you don't pay one of those, you'll have a problem.
