New Unknown Illness has Hundreds Ill, One Dead and it’s Not Covid
There is an area of southern India that has been one of the hardest-hit areas of COVID-19 in the world reporting over 800,000 Coronavirus cases detected. Now, hundreds in the area are sick with an unidentified illness and one person has died.
In the state of Andhra Pradesh, there is an illness causing people symptoms of nausea and loss of consciousness. Medical teams in the state have no idea what has caused over 200,000 people to become symptomatic with one person dying from the unknown illness. The 45-year-old man died after having symptoms that mimicked epilepsy along with nausea.
Hospitals are overcrowded with patients being placed in beds lining hallways and other areas.
Could this be another virus headed to the U.S.? With so many already affected, that is a strong possibility. Remember, the Coronavirus originated in the open markets of China where it jumped from animals to humans.
We could find ourselves going into 2021 with a whole new virus to deal with. It will up to officials in India to contain the illness quickly and for the U.S. to take precautions now so we don't end up with two pandemics on our hands later.
Experts have taken water samples, executed blood tests and more only to come up empty-handed as to what's causing so many people to become ill. All patients that have come down with symptoms have all tested negative for COVID-19.
