NASCAR released the footage of the emotional moment before today's race at Talladega Superspeedway. This comes in the wake of a noose being found in Bubba Wallace's garage stall by a member of the driver's team.
The hashtag #IStandWithBubba is being spread around the internet and was also painted into the infield at Talladega as you can see in this tweet from @NASCAR
Last night, Wallace shared his thoughts on the despicable act via Twitter @BubbaWallace
Wallace's frustration with the act came full circle today when he posted another photo which showed all of the support he had from NASCAR via Twitter @BubbaWallace
While one despicable human decided to perform a horrific act of racism against the only Black driver in NASCAR, it did not take long for the vocal majority to show just how much they care about and support Wallace as a member of NASCAR and as a human being.
NASCAR put out a statement on the act early this morning via Twitter @NASCAR
It is amazing to see NASCAR and its community rally around Wallace and support him in this difficult time. While one person's actions can have a huge impact on someone, it is quite amazing to see so many others come out and stand up against racism and both literally and figuratively have Wallace's back.
