Yes, that is the one word we look up most when we need to spell "lit" correctly. Another word that seems to give me fits each time I attempt to spell it is "Meteorologist." A secret, I actually misspelled it here, and I was corrected.

Some other common words that give people trouble spelling correctly are business, beautiful, and color. Do you struggle with any of these, and if so, it's perfectly fine to admit it. After all, we aren't perfect.

What's Causing People to Not Spell Correctly
According to Scholar Within, people now rely on autocorrect features and AI, which has discouraged some from learning how to spell words correctly.
Plus, being that many are in such a rush these days, experts say the lack of proofreading is a major contributing factor to misspellings in posts and stories. I guess the moral is, we all need to slow down and read over our work, as our teachers preached to us years ago.
