Lowe's gets points from me on this one: they announced today that they will be closing their stores Easter Sunday.

In an attempt to give their employees a break during the coronavirus pandemic, the decision was made to close the stores for the holy day all across the United States and Canada.

Lowe's president and CEO said that their more than 300,000 associates have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic to serve their customers and as a sign of the company's appreciation, they get the day off.

“We want to provide our teams with a much-deserved day off to spend Easter Sunday with their families and loved ones and recharge. We will take steps to ensure that no hourly associate loses scheduled hours or has a reduction in pay as a result of closing on Sunday. I want to personally thank our 300,000 associates who have helped families stay safely at home. Their actions are nothing short of heroic.” - Marvin Ellison, President and CEO of Lowe's

Kudos to the brass at Lowe's for recognizing, and rewarding, a job well done.
