Louisiana FedEx Customers Should Expect Delays in Package Delivery
(KTDY-FM) - If you're expecting a package from FedEx and you're in Louisiana, you may not get the package on the day you anticipated.
I was told by someone who works for FedEx that the delivery service in Acadiana has been delayed as a result of severe weather in the Memphis, Tennessee area.
In recent days, we have seen severe thunderstorms sweep across the country, and a recent storm not only grounded flights for FedEx, but the storm also knocked power out at the hub, which supplies the Acadiana region with many of its packages.
For those who paid for overnight delivery, you likely will not receive your package on Thursday, and the package may not arrive for days, as the backup is expected to be a major issue for FedEx.
Some crew members and delivery drivers for FedEx in Lafayette were sent home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, as a result of packages not reaching their destinations due to the storms in the Memphis area.
We encourage you to share this story with others on social media, as they may be anticipating an important delivery today or tomorrow.
If we hear more information on the status of deliveries in Acadiana, we will share it here and on this station's mobile app.
