Louisiana Bike Rider Replaces License Plate With Hilarious Message
(Lafayette, La.) - Sometimes you see things on the roads in Louisiana, and you have to look again to make sure you've seen what you thought you saw.
I, like some of you, see some odd things on the roads in Acadiana, and at times it puts a smile on my face because you don't expect to see some of the things you do.
A few days ago, I was leaving a store in Lafayette when something caught my eye on a small motorcycle.
The man on the bike zoomed in front of me, and initially, I was upset that he cut me off as we exited the parking lot, but once I saw what he posted on his bike, I was relieved.
On the motorcycle, where the state-issued license plate should be mounted, was a handwritten message that read, "Tag Stolen." Now, to be fair, the bike owner did add the license plate number assigned to it.
I am not going to play Facebook attorney here, but I don't know if this is legal, and I hope that the owner gets to a DMV soon to replace the plate that was stolen from this bike.
This made me laugh, and I applaud the owner of this bike for at least taking the time to acknowledge why he doesn't have his state-issued plate on it.
Now, I just wonder how police feel about this sign on the motorcycle. Here's a photo of the bike as it drove off from the parking lot in Lafayette.
