FBI Warns Louisiana Against Dozens of Dangerous Scams
Louisiana residents are starting to see their tax returns come in, and scammers are working overtime to take advantage of the extra money in their pockets. Have you noticed and increase in automated callers and texts?
I have personally received three text messages this week from unknown numbers alleging I need to address an urgent matter by clicking the link provided.
Never click a link from an unknown sender, even if they claim to be UPS or Amazon. Most times, you can copy and paste the text or email into Google, and you find out more information on whether it really is a scam, and most of the time, it is an attempt at phishing for your sensitive information.

There will always be a new scam you need to be aware of, but these are the most common types of scams that the FBI wants Louisiana and the rest of the nation to be informed about.
