South Louisiana May Hit 90-Degree Mark For First Time This Spring
It's warming up in Louisiana and the heat may be on this week.
By now you may have seen the bees, wasps, and pollen in your yard, and soon you will feel the heat in South Louisiana.
For the last few days in Acadiana, you can feel the return of high humidity levels in our area, and now it looks like the summer heat may be back.
If you love the summer heat in the Deep South and was hoping for the return of summer during the winter months, your wish is about to come true.
According to the extended forecast from KATC TV-3, some in Acadiana could hit the 90-degree mark for the first time this Spring, and once we get to the point in the temperature gauge, rarely do we get a break in the heat until late fall.
As of now, it looks like the hottest day thus far this spring will be this Thursday (May 9, 2024).
The warmest day of the week will be followed by a slight chance of rain to go into the weekend, but if you love the heat and warmth of Spring and Summer, you'll likely enjoy what's to come later this week,
I guess it's time to take out the swim gear here as we will soon be looking for a way to cool off.
