Louisiana Lottery Winners Claim Two $115,000 Jackpots And $2 Million Powerball Prize
(KMDL-FM) The check-printing machine at Louisiana Lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge needs to be warmed up and refilled with ink; it must print a $230,000 check. Actually, two $115,000 checks need to be printed. The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed a double jackpot win on Wednesday night. And a $2 million Powerball win from Monday night.
Splitting jackpots is not that uncommon in Louisiana Lottery games; the most recent split jackpot that I can recall is from just a few weeks ago when two New Iberia-sold tickets for the Easy 5 game split a $70,000 jackpot.

One of those $35,000 checks has not been collected. So, if you played Easy 5 and purchased a ticket at the Raceway on Highway 14 for the August 12th drawing, you have money waiting for you.
Louisiana-Sold Powerball Ticket Wins $2 Million Prize in Monday's Drawing
And speaking of recent wins, y'all did hear about the $2 million Powerball winner that a Louisiana ticket won on Monday night, right? The big-money Powerball winner was sold in Saint Amant, Louisiana, at Dalaunes Supermarket. The winning ticket matched all five of the white balls in the October 5th drawing but whiffed on the Powerball. The ticket's purchaser added Power Play, so the prize is $2 million.

There was no big winner in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, at least from Louisiana. The largest prize a Louisiana ticket earned on the October 7th drawing is $200. Six tickets earned that prize; 16 others earned a prize of $100.

The Powerball Jackpot will now climb to an estimated top prize on Saturday of $516 million. There was no big winner in Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery Wednesday night either. That game's top prize will elevate to an estimated $750,000 on Saturday.
The Easy 5 game, which I predicted we would get a winner this past Saturday, made me wait one more drawing to be right. That game produced the split jackpot in Wednesday's lottery drawing.
Split Jackpot Winners Were Sold in These Two Louisiana Towns
The winning tickets were sold in Port Allen and in Golden Meadow. Our sources at the Louisiana Lottery have not revealed the point of purchase as of this report, but that will be forthcoming later this morning
And one more lottery note: there are two big money tickets that will expire very soon. One of those tickets is a $50,000 Easy 5 winner sold in Rayville for the April 25th drawing only has 15 days left until it's reclaimed by the lottery.
The other is a $1 million Powerball win from April 29th. That ticket was sold at the Circle K on Jones Creek Road in Baton Rouge. You only have 19 days to claim your one million dollar prize before it is reclaimed by the lottery.
