(KMDL-FM) Nobody likes change. It's evident in the products we buy, the shows we watch, and the places we shop; no matter where you are in Louisiana and Texas, chances are you are quite content with what you have.

And while folks in Lafayette, Lufkin, Tyler, and Lake Charles are resistant to change, we have come to the realization that sometimes things just have to change. If we're being honest, it's not the change we mind so much, it's the fact that we weren't informed or our opinion wasn't requested before the changes took place.

I think the changes that we have the most difficulty adapting to are those that involve our favorite foods. Have you gone shopping at a grocery store where you have always shopped, and they have rearranged the floor plan and moved certain items to other aisles? That takes more than a month or so to get used to.

What Major Fast Food Change is "Quietly" Changing Their Menu?

Other changes like a new ingredient or style of sandwich can be just as annoying, but it takes a lot less time to get over, and if you don't like the change, it certainly doesn't take longer to ignore. The folks who operate Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburger Restaurants where you live are hoping you won't mind a little change in their menu offerings.

Actually, it seems as if Wendy's is hoping you won't notice what they have done to some of their chicken sandwich offerings because goodness knows they did not make a big announcement that many of their chicken sandwiches would be switching to "processed chicken" versus sliced chicken.

For clarity's sake, the quality of the chicken is still beyond reproach, and not all of Wendy's chicken offerings have gone to the "ground meat" form of chicken as opposed to full pieces or sliced pieces of chicken. But think about this way, which scenario sounds like it tastes better, a nice slice of hot, fresh chicken breast or a patty made up of ground chicken?

The chicken change at Wendy's has been confirmed on the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. There is a distinguishable difference in the size and texture of the meat. The switch to processed chicken does not appear to include any of Wendy's soon-to-be-revealed "premium chicken" items.

Personally, the move to processed chicken for a Wendy's chicken sandwich will be a deal breaker for me. I like my chicken sandwiches to be meaty, full, flavorful, and served on Sundays.
