(Lafayette, LA) - The Lafayette Parish School System will again offer two options for students in the system who are 18 and under in age to receive meals during the summer.

The meals are open to all Lafayette Parish School System students.

The 2026 Summer Feeding Program will offer two options: non-congregate meal box distribution or on-site meal service, available at some schools.

Lafayette Boxes Meals for Students Can Be Obtained by Registration

The meals in the boxes are shelf-stable for 7 days, and parents only need to register each child once using this link. According to the Lafayette Parish School System, the following are a list of the qualifications:

  • All children 18 and under are eligible to participate.
  • Only one-time registration required for the entire duration of the program.
  • Food boxes contain 7 days of shelf-stable meals equivalent to 1 breakfast and 1 lunch meal per day.
  • Parent/Guardian picking up boxes must be listed below, and a valid ID must be provided at the pick-up site.
  • Food boxes are distributed every Wednesday from 7 am - 11 am, beginning June 3rd and ending July 8th.

Lafayette Boxed Summer Meal Distribution will be at the following two locations:

Duson Elementary · 301 Fourth Street, Duson, LA, 70529

Charles M. Burke Elementary · 2845 Ridge Road, Duson, LA 70529

These meal boxes will be distributed each Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., June 3 through July 8.

On-Site Summer Meals Available for Lafayette Parish School System Children
