John Spinello who came up with the concept for the game 'Operation' 50 years ago, needs a real operation but can't afford it.

Spinello, 77, sold the rights to the concept for the game in 1964 to a guy named Marvin Glass.  At the time Spinello was an industrial design student.  He's never received a penny from royalties.  Glass also gave us the Lite Brite, Mouse Trap, fake vomit and chattering teeth.  He took Spinello's concept and invented the metal box with the probe and game the world 'Operation'.

John Spinello's friends are raising money to help with medical expenses.  They are also trying to auction off his original prototype.  John's friends think that piece of history might raise up to $35,000.
