Homeless Man Inherits ‘Significant’ Amount in Salt Lake City

Can you imagine being down on your luck, pushing a shopping cart with all of your earthly belongings through Girard Park, and a man approaches and introduces himself as a Private Investigator?  What do you do?  Cut and run?  Shake his hand and be leery? Stare in disbelief, wondering how this PI knows your name?

According to the AP, it happened to Max Melitzer this past weekend.  The PI, David Lundberg, had been searching for Melitzer for two months to tell him that his brother had passed away, and left him with a hefty inheritance.

At the time of the report, Mr. Melitzer was smiling, but still in disbelief.
