Once again the Acadian Home Builders have made good on their promise to welcome someone "Home for the Holidays". Home for the Holidays is a South Louisiana fundraising effort spearheaded by the Acadian Home Builders and other select sponsors. The fundraising effort actually includes the giveaway of a brand new home.

The winner of this year's Home for the Holidays was announced on KATC TV 3 last night. Marcelle Fontenot had the honor and pleasure of phoning the grand prize winner, Heather Hadley of Rayne, of her newfound fortune.

Tickets for the home were sold for $100 each during the course of the fundraiser. The monies generated from these ticket sales have been earmarked for four South Louisiana based charitable organizations. Those include Faith House, Healing House, Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, and St. Michael's Center for Veterans.

The house wasn't the only prize ticket holders could win. There was also a GE Cafe Refrigerator valued at $2,800 up for grabs. The winner of that prize was Phyllis DeHart of Abbeville.

In addition to the Acadian Home Builders Home for the Holidays was supported by KATC TV 3 and the broadcast brands of TownSquare Media, including Newstalk 965 KPEL.
