Hey Smokers, Cigarette Butts Are Litter: CJ’s Daily Message October 23, 2018

Not all, but many smokers surely don't mind flicking a cigarette butt on the ground or emptying a car ashtray on the side of the road.  These are generally good people, but for the life of me, I can't understand why they don't consider this litter.  This inconsiderate act causes our city and state to look like crap.

The next time you're stopped at an intersection, look down.  It's disgusting.  Cigarette butts everywhere.  I think this is a Southern thing, I really do.  You see it in Texas and Louisiana most but Mississippi, Alabama and Florida are certainly no exception.  But if you travel north of I-10, in my travels, it's hardly noticeable.

I think it's a Southern society that's seen mommy and daddy do it so it's okay, a matter of people simply not caring (which saddens me) or pure laziness.  Unfortunately, it will never stop.
