Are you happy? If not, you have the power to change that. I concluded years ago, being happy is a choice you make. Nobody has a perfect life. God knows, I don't! That being said, you can cultivate habits that will make you happier. Inc.com recently published a list of 9 things you can do to be a happier person. They all make sense to me.

#1: Get off of Facebook! Or, at least cut down on the time you spend there. There are a lot of people who love to share their misery on Facebook. Others make it a highlight reel. Don't get tricked into comparing your real life to someone's FB posts.

#3: Get more, and better sleep. I believe passionately in this one. adequate sleep is crucial to good mental, and physical health.

#4: Don't lie! It damages your sense of self worth.

#6: be active: That doesn't mean you have to adopt a strenuous workout routine. Take a walk once in a while. Exercise produces mood elevating endorphins.

#8: Be in the moment. Let go of the past, and stop worrying about the future. more than 95% of the things we worry about never come to pass.
