It seems Hollywood's finally taken notice of all those Tumblr users comparing One Direction's Harry Styles to Mick Jagger, because Harry is reportedly in the running to play the Rolling Stones frontman in a forthcoming movie about the group, according to a report from NME.

The biopic, tentatively titled Exile On Main Street: A Season In Hell With The Rolling Stones, is based on Robert Greenfield’s book of the same name and will document the summer the band recorded their 1972 album Exile on Main Street. Downton Abbey’s Andy Goddard has reportedly signed on to direct, and the film is slated to begin production this winter.

Harry has not been officially confirmed for the role, but Deadline reports the movie’s filmmakers are currently casting the roles of Jagger and Keith Richards. And while bros everywhere may feel the "Perfect" singer is not quite suited to portray an iconic figure like Jagger just yet, Christopher Nolan did cast him in his World War II flick Dunkirk, lending at least some credibility to his acting abilities.

Are you itching to see Harry Styles play Mick Jagger onscreen? Do you think he'll embrace the fact that he'll have to grow his hair long once again, months after he finally chopped it all off for Dunkirk? Will Harry ever return to singing? Was Meghan Trainor right when she predicted his successful career as a solo act? Let us know your thoughts on all these questions in the comments below.
