‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Eyes 2018 Premiere in First Season 2 Teaser
The first teaser for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2 is officially under your eye. Return to Gilead with a first look at the Emmy-winning Hulu nightmare’s sophomore season; now set for a spring 2018 premiere.
Hulu released a brief teaser for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2 to confirm that Elisabeth Moss’ Offred would find her way out of the dark in April 2018. It’s hard to tell exactly what we’re looking at, but at least one Handmaid appears to be on the run, bonnet-in-hand. Here’s what the Season 2 synopsis reveals:
The Emmy-winning drama series returns with a second season shaped by Offred’s pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead. “Gilead is within you” is a favorite saying of Aunt Lydia. In Season Two, Offred and all our characters will fight against – or succumb to – this dark truth.
Elsewhere of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2, we know Alexis Bledel has been elevated to series regular in her role as “Ofglen” (Emily), while Clea DuVall will join the series as her wife, Sylvia. Season 2 will move beyond the scope of Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel, and likely introduce the wastelands alluded to in Season 1.
April 2018 can’t get here soon enough, so stay tuned for the latest on The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2.
