(Lafayette, LA) - Get ready to dance away the days as Festival Acadiens et Creoles will take over Girard Park from October 8 through October 11 with a ton of popular local performers ready to entertain the crowds.

In addition to the amazing music, Festival Acadiens et Creoles offers dozens of food options and an arts-and-crafts section. The cutting of the boudin will kick off the weekend events, but the musical portion will begin Thursday evening.

Schedule of When Festival Acadiens et Creoles Events Begin

Performances will begin with a special engagement of the ten-part series Dry Bones, presented by the UL Center for Louisiana Studies.

The new multimedia presentation will combine contemporary artists with archival recordings from the UL Center for Louisiana Studies.

Festival Acadiens et Creoles Music in Girard Park Begins Friday

The musical performances will then begin at Girard Park on Friday, October 9.

The night will feature two performances: one by Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rodailleurs, and the second will feature Ruben Moreno's Zydeco Re-Evolution.
