Police in Calcasieu Parish say gunfire erupted at an unsupervised graduation party in Lake Charles early Monday Morning. Seven people were reported injured in the incident. Two people have already been taken into custody and deputies in Calcasieu Parish say two or possibly more arrests are pending.

Sheriff Tony Mancuso of Calcasieu Parish says deputies from his department responded to a business off Highway 90 east around midnight Memorial Day morning. They were responding to a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival they found nearly 200 unsupervised teenagers and young adults at what was described as a graduation party.

The Sherrif told KPLC Television that his investigators picked up several shell casings from various weapons. The Sheriff's office reported that two 15-year-old females suffered gunshot wounds, those injuries are thought to be non-life-threatening. Three other teenage females were reported to have been grazed by bullets while another 15-year-old female and 18-year-old male suffered minor injures in the ensuing panic following the gunshots.

As of now, CPSO believes that 17-year-old Devin Levier was responsible for the shooting. Levier is currently being treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is expected to face charges once he has been released from medical care.

Mary Brignac who transported Levier to the hospital is also facing charges after a stolen semi-automatic pistol was discovered in her possession.

CPSO is asking anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward. Deputies have already identified other suspects in the case and those individuals are currently being sought. Sheriff Mancuso declined to identify the high school which many of the teens attended as some of those in attendance could have been from other schools in the area.
