Senate Fumbles As Health Care Bill Dies
With four confirmed "no" votes on the Senate's version of Obamacare repeal, the "Plan B" bill effectively died before a vote late Monday night. The hold outs include Senators Susan Collins (R-ME), Mike Lee (R-UT), Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Rand Paul (R-KY). The Senate took over the cause after the House failed to pass a repeal and replace bill shortly after President Trump took office in January. The latest blow to the GOP effort to get rid of President Obama's legacy law the "Affordable Care Act". Trump spoke out late Monday night and called for a "clean repeal".
Early Tuesday, Trump vows that Republicans "will return". He calls out the few Republican hold outs who kept the bill from passing.
