FedEx Driver Drops to His Knees in Front of a Statue
A FedEx driver dropped to his knees while delivering packages on his route when he saw a statue in a customer's front yard.
The statue, according to the post on Youtube, is of Mary.
For those unfamiliar with Mary: she was a "Galilean Jewish woman of Nazareth, the wife of Joseph and the mother of Jesus". Christian theology also teaches that "Mary conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit while still a virgin" (according to Wiki) and, and, according to Christianity, her body was received directly into Heaven (Assumption of Mary).
For those who are unaware of why some people pray to saints, Scott P. Richert explains why people of the Catholic faith do it on the Learn Religions website:
... the saints and angels in Heaven stand before God and offer Him their prayers, too. And since we believe in the Communion of Saints, we can ask the saints to pray for us, just as we ask our friends and family to do so. And when we make such a request for their intercession, we make it in the form of a prayer. - Scott P. Richert, via Learn Religions
We don't know what was going through his mind as he was kneeling in front of that statue of Mary, but I was able to run through the "Hail Mary" prayer in my head from knees-down to knees-up, so that might be one possibility.
