Fallen Lafayette Police Officer Honored And Remembered By Local Government
The Lafayette Consolidated Government is remembering and honoring the memory and service of an officer who lost his life in the line of duty back in 2017. Corporal Michael Middlebrook has had his name engraved on the Lafayette Police Department Memorial, as his service to the community is appreciated and recognized.
Since the end of his watch, Corporal Michael Middlebrook has received numerous honors, as his service to the community was well-known by both his fellow officers and those around the Lafayette area.
Middlebrook's fellow officers honored his life with a coin and special license plate to remember him.
Another honor came when a Lafayette area school was named after Middlebrook. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to honor Middlebrook and his family.
Now, Middlebrook's name has been etched into the Lafayette Police Department Memorial so that his legacy will forever be remembered by the community.
