Danica Will Drive Sprint Cup In 2012
As if this comes as a surprise, Danica Patrick announced earlier today that she will move from The Indy Racing League to Nascar's Sprint Cup Series in 2012.
She competed in the Nationwide Series this season, driving in 7 races for Dale Earnhardt Jr's JR Motorsports, earning one top 5 finish & 3 top 10's. Danica will continue, and will drive eight to ten races on the cup circuit for Stewart Haas Racing, owned by two-time chanpion, Tony Stewart. It remains unclear if she will kick off her 2012 season at the Daytona 500. Speculation still remains about her competing at the Indianapolis 500.
