Carter Confirms His Son and Willie Nelson Smoked Weed on White House Roof [Video]

There's been a longstanding urban legend that during Jimmy Carter's term as president, Country Music legend Willie Nelson once smoked a joint on the roof of the White House. In a new documentary "Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President", Carter confirms this indeed happened...and it was actually one of Carter's son who smoked with Willie.

Willie Nelson included the story in his autobiography, confessing that once on a visit in 1980, he and one of the White House servants smoked a joint on the roof of the White House.

Apparently, good ole Willie wasn't telling the story completely right, probably in an effort to not get anyone in trouble just in case.

In the new documentary "Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President" Carter confirms the story his friend Willie Nelson told in his book, but sets the record straight by admitting it was actually one of his sons who smoked the pot with Willie on the roof of the White House.

"Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President" was released in select theaters yesterday (09/15/20) and is slated to be available on-demand by the end of this year or early 2021.
