Bike Lafayette's mission is to bring bicycle awareness, safety, and education to Acadiana, and will be doing that this weekend with the Pancake Ride, part of the Winter Cycling Social.

On Saturday, January 25th, the winter cycling social will host a choice of rides to suit a range of interests and abilities, beginning at Girard Park.

  • Early Bird Special – A fast-paced ride out of town. 40 miles at 18-20 mph. Clip in at 8 am.
  • Middle of the Road – An intermediate ride on the outskirts of town, 25 miles at 15-17 mph pace. 8:30 am start.
  • City Cruise – A beginner friendly road ride. 10 miles ’round about town at a 12-14 mph pace but never faster than the slowest rider. 9 am start.
  • Kidical Mass – A family-friendly ride for kids, kids at heart and their parents/caregivers. 2 mile Girard Park-ULL loop at 6 mph or as slow as little legs need to go. Roll out at 11 am.

Pancakes and bacon for all from 7:30 to 11 am. Eat before &/or after your ride.  If you would like to see the routes, click here, you'll be redirected to the Bike Lafayette website.
