Bicyclist Struck and Killed Crossing Hwy 14 in Abbeville

Our news partners at KATC TV3 are reporting that a bicyclist was struck and killed on the Highway 14 by-pass last night in Abbeville.

According to reports, the bicyclist was struck while trying to cross the by-pass near Broadmoor street without yielding right-of-way to oncoming traffic. The cyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver involved in the crash passed a BAC test and was not charged in the crash.
