(KTDY-FM) - LSU Legend and ESPN Broadcaster Ben McDonald posted a video of himself in a hospital bed after he fell from a tree stand.

According to McDonald, he fell from a deer stand that was over 20 feet up in a tree, and he sustained a severe concussion and cracked two vertebrae.

No, he was not hunting deer, as the season is closed, but it appears that he was preparing his stand for the upcoming season, as many hunters are.

Yes, the baseball legend is lucky to be alive after this fall.

In the video, which you can see below, McDonald has no recollection of the fall and appears to be very confused while in the hospital bed.

He expects to recover from this accident and plans to return to the broadcasting booth soon.

Ben McDonald is 57 years old.
