(Orleans Parish) - CBS News recently spoke to the Orleans Parish Sheriff, Susan Hutson, about the changes being made inside and outside the jail after 10 inmates escaped in May.

As you may recall, the inmates broke out of the Orleans Parish Jail by breaking through a wall in a cell, and then climbing up a fence to escape the prison grounds.

Nine of the inmates who escaped that night have been captured, while one remains on the loose.

Here's a look at the inmate, Derrik Grooves, who is still on the loose after the jailbreak in May.

Since then, the sheriff says she has made many upgrades in and around the jail, with more fencing coming to add an additional barrier around the perimeter.

While speaking to CBS News, Sheriff Hutson showed the network how the prisoners were able to climb up a wall and ultimately end up on I-10.

A fence without razor wire allowed those escaping to climb up the wall and then make their way out of the prison.

Hutson showed CBS's Kati Weis the fence prisoners used to climb, and she referred to the prisoners as "Spiders" when describing how they climbed up the wall.

Here's the portion of the interview in which the Sheriff refers to those who escaped as arthropods.

In the same interview, Sheriff Hutson mentioned that when she took office, she was left with a prison that was not up to par, and she says many changes are being made, including adding new locks, fences, and monitoring software.

She would also tell CBS News that the jail in Orleans Parish was not built correctly, and puts those working there and being held there in danger.
