The following is a statement released by the family:

On behalf of the Noel and Brown families, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the people of Delcambre and Erath, but especially the students and faculty of Erath High School, for everyone's substantial outpouring of prayers and support to us during this very difficult time. We also want to thank the staff and doctors in ICU at LGMC for their great and sincere care for Amy. Although Amy's light here on Earth may be out, numerous other families are jumping with joy as they are now learning their loved one has new hope because Amy was an organ donor. Just another example of what kind of a person Amy was as she touched so many lives in a positive way. Though gone, she will never be forgotten.
