So many people in Louisiana drive Toyota trucks and now there's a recall that may affect some drivers in our state.

Toyota recently announced a recall on 381,000 trucks after parts fell off of some of the real axils.

According to the recall, Toyota is recalling about 381,000 Tacoma midsize pickup trucks in the U.S. The report indicates that parts can fall from the rear axle, thus causing drivers to crash while traveling in the vehicle.

Here are the trucks impacted by this recall, it's trucks from the 2022 and 2023 model years.

In a statement released by Toyota, they say welding debris left on the ends of the axles can cause some nuts to loosen over time and eventually fall off.

As you may imagine, this could cause the part to separate from the axle, which can affect the stability and brake performance of the truck while in operation.

If you have a truck that falls under this recall, you can bring it to the dealership where you purchased it and they will inspect the rear axle and make any adjustments if necessary.

Toyota will be mailing out notifications of this recall in the weeks ahead, to those who purchased the Tacoma trucks that are part of this recall.

In the meantime, if you have any concerns you can call 1-800-331-4331.
