A gun was accidentally discharged at today's NFAC protest march in Downtown Lafayette. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

It happened near the time when the armed members of NFAC were moving into their formation as they were getting ready to march from the Lafayette Public Library to Parc Sans Souci.

KATC's Scott Brazda reports 26-year-old Terrance Jones of Lafayette was arrested in the accidental discharge and faces two charges - illegal accidental discharge and felon in possession of a firearm. Jones was not a member of the NFAC members who were getting into formation.
