Louisiana has been dubbed 'Hollywood South', and with the recent string of Academy Award nominated (and winning) films, it's not hard to see why. It's difficult to list all the films that were captured in the Bayou state, since there are over 500 documented titles that used Louisiana as the location (including Steel Magnolias, Interview with the Vampire, Monster's Ball, The Pelican Brief and more), so we narrowed down our list to include those that were either nominated or won an Oscar for Best Picture.
