A Beautiful View: New River Gorge Bridge
We visited New River Gorge over the holidays, taking in the sights and hospitality of West Virginia.
The New River Gorge Bridge, according to the National Parks website, was completed in 1977, and turned a 40-minute drive from one side of the gorge to the other into a less-than-1-minute drive!
The longest steel span in the Western Hemisphere, the New River Gorge Bridge is quite a sight!
Taking the "old" route over the gorge allows you to see several waterfalls and other great natural sights.
The New River Gorge Bridge can be found on Highway 19 near Lansing, WV.
