A few studies were conducted and the data compiled and put together into one report and the research concluded, black Friday is no longer the number one day for the top savings.

In the old days, black Friday was it.  The one and only day for big savings, that's not the case any longer.  Merchants have gotten smart and spread savings out over many days during the holiday shopping season.

These days, the internet plays a big role in where your money is spent as more and more people holiday shop from their favorite recliner.  The best day for online shopping is Thanksgiving.  Black Friday ranks second, followed by the Monday before Thanksgiving.  The Monday after Thanksgiving is actually considered Cyber Monday, don't be fooled by the label, it actually falls to forth place for the deeper savings.

When actually showing up at a store in person, the best day for saving on electronics was actually two weeks ago.  The next best day is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is also the best day for the biggest discounts on toys.

The best day to shop for clothes at the lowest prices of the year, is Cyber Monday.
