In a new survey by the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, Hawaii ranks as No. 1 as the happiest state in the United States. The survey looked at six categories: life evaluation, emotional health, work environment/job satisfaction, physical health, healthy behavior, and community satisfaction which included an assessment of access to healthcare.
