If you are a younger person you may have no idea who Mrs. Roper is, but the streets of a Louisiana town were flooded with Mrs. Ropers for a pub crawl to celebrate the sitcom Three's Company and an iconic character according to KPLC.

So let's take a step back and introduce the show that made Mrs. Roper a household name. "Three's Company" debuted on television in 1976 and ran through 1984. The show starred John Ritter, Janet DeWitt, and Suzanne Somers.

The show was a smashing success. Two of the show's character actors were Mr. and Mrs. Roper. Mr. Roper was the landlord and owner of the building where characters Jack, Crissy, and Janet lived. He was very nosy, and he was not romantic leading to many wild antics between all of the characters.

Mrs. Roper was a fun-loving lady who often played confidant to the young characters who lived together in the apartment. It was two women and one man, and even in 1976, it just was not done! And some have even suggested that the events that feature Mrs. Roper across the country might have started in New Orleans.

Mrs. Roper was always seen in super colorful caftans, wild jewelry, and her signature short-curled red-haired wig.

The ladies of the International Order of the Mrs. Ropers - SWLA Chapter are a wonderful group of fun-loving ladies who came together recently for a pub crawl in Lake Charles!

The ladies were decked out in a variety of different dresses with wild, flashy jewelry and enjoying various beverages with many of them holding up cardboard cutouts of Norman Feld's character Mr. Roper!

.....I'm so happy that everybody came out and that all of the downtown establishments have decided to support us.

The ladies say now that they know how huge the interest is in dressing up like Mrs. Roper they are going to have more events, and they plan to raise money for local charities.
