You’ve surely heard it said that so-and-so has “dedicated his life to learning.” But it would be hard to find anyone more dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge than 71-year-old Michael Nicholson, who is currently working on his 30th college degree.
Although he was run over by a car at 14-months-old and paralyzed from the waist down, Patrick Ivison didn’t let his disability stop him. In fact, the California native learned how to kayak, ski, play rugby and even surf. And now he has one more amazing feat to add to his accomplishments after managing to walk during his high school graduation on Tuesday.
A small group of seniors at Cascade High School in Clayton, IN celebrated their upcoming graduation with a prank, covering school doors, offices and windows with more than 12,000 colorful Post-It notes.
But the school superintendent apparently didn’t think it was so funny — he suspended almost 60 students, and a janitor accused of helping during the prank could lose her job.
It seemed like this day would never come- for students and parents alike! College graduation. Parking's going to be difficult at the Cajundome, but it's just one more hurdle in the race for that diploma! Unlike, Michelle Obama, Katie Couric and Jane Lynch, I haven't been asked to do a commencement address, but here are just a few of my thoughts about what you've been through and where you're heade
