Taco Bell has been connected to a salmonella outbreak which began in October. The germs sickened nearly 70 people in Texas, Oklahoma,  Kansas, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio  and Tennessee.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says investigators think the problem most likely happened at the supplier level, before any contaminated food was delivered to any Taco Bell restaurants. No deaths were reported anywhere, and no illness was reported in Louisiana.
